Give your school a taste of how to bring Chinese language and culture into your classroom
Schools Think China: will take place at St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast on Wednesday 23rd October 2019, 11:00 – 14:30: an interactive showcase of all things China.
Interactive pupil workshops will include:
- Learning traditional Chinese lion dance
- Penning Chinese calligraphy
- The art of Chinese face mask changing
- Creating unique Chinese silk fans
Experience live Chinese opera and musical performances, while sampling some traditional Chinese dishes!
Teachers will be provided with information on how to:
- Avail of a Chinese Language Assistant for your school
- Partner with a school in China and work on international projects together
- Get involved in our annual Mandarin Speaking competition
- Obtain free resource packs to bring Mandarin to life in the classroom
Please note:
- This event is open to all Key Stages
- Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis: please indicate in your response how many pupils you wish to bring
- Pupils must be accompanied by teaching staff at all times
- Lunch will be provided: please indicate if there are any special dietary requirements
