Registration is now open for 2021 placements - closing date 28 January 2021.
IAESTE is an international mobility programme that places talented students and graduates on paid, international placements in over 80 countries worldwide. In Northern Ireland it is funded by the Department for the Economy and delivered by the British Council.
- In 2019, IAESTE in Northern Ireland built bridges between people in 27 countries across five continents. 38 Northern Ireland students undertook placements in top-tier companies and research institutions including Volvo in Sweden, Mercedes Benz in Jordan and Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. In addition, 31 international students and graduates gained valuable work experience in Northern Ireland.
- In 2020, despite Covid-19, 55 students participated on the programme, with some working remotely due to travel restrictions.
For students and graduates in Northern Ireland with a background in STEM or business and marketing, an IAESTE placement is the ideal way to gain valuable work experience and discover new cultures.
Northern Ireland employers can recruit high-calibre international students and graduates through IAESTE for short or long-term projects. The British Council takes care of all paperwork, including visas.
