Celtronic and partner to bring some of Northern Ireland and India’s leading electronic music acts together for Delhi-Derry Together in Sound.

The collaboration will see music livestreamed from historic venues across India and Northern Ireland, as Delhi-based online radio statio and electronic music festival Celtronic, come together to create new music.

The first leg of Dehli-Derry Together in Sound is in Derry-Londonderry, with electronic acts from India performing at venues across the city from tonight (Wednesday, 29 June) as part of Celtronic 2022.  The artists will take part in workshops, recording sessions and studio visits, before Northern Ireland acts head to Delhi this autumn.

Featured artists from India at Celtronic include:

  • NASH, who grew up in a family of hindustani classical musicians, jamming hip-hop, r&b and motown soul
  • Stain, New Delhi based musician supported by names including Four Tet and dBridge.  Takes influence from dubstep, jungle and grime, and is affiliated with New Delhi’s online community radio and culture platform,
  • Lush Lata brings Grime & Bollywood in a set of artistic explorations in the interstices of the common shebang and well-known for creating a vibrant atmosphere on the dance floor
  • Sodhi, (pictured left) a bass music DJ from New Delhi - after spending his formative years in London, his tastes are heavily influenced by the non-confirmative, exhilarating sounds of the city’s underground
  • Zequenx (pictured middle) currently based in New Delhi, relies on her many cultural influences in her musical philosophy traversing through dark, psychedelic soundscapes
  • Kaleekarma (pictured right) uses music as the medium to weave together a richly detailed tapestry of theatrical tales, inspired by organic, ethnic, retro, acid and folk sounds
