Do you want to gain the skills, knowledge and expertise to develop your own creative enterprise?

We’re calling for ten young Disabled people in Northern Ireland (aged between 18 and 30) to join our creative entrepreneurship coaching scheme in partnership with the Harkin Summit Belfast 2022.

Over 8-10 weeks in the months of April and May 2022, we will pair you with an established small business for up to eight hours of coaching - better equipping you with the skills and network for your own creative enterprise.

What kind of person should apply:

  • Young Disabled people living in Northern Ireland
  • Aged between 18 and 30
  • At the early stages of developing their own creative enterprise
  • Looking to be coached by a small social business for 8 hours over the period of April to May.
  • Wishing to be part of a network of other young creative entrepreneurs with a disability
  • Interested in attending the Harkin Summit Belfast 2022 

Aim of the programme

Through this creative entrepreneurship coaching scheme we aim for young people to:

  • Be better equipped in developing their own creative enterprises
  • Form an active network with fellow participants once the scheme has finished

How the coaching scheme will work

A network of creative enterprises will act as coaches to the successful applicants, with the coaching lasting for up to eight hours in total (with some additional time for networking / collaboration). 

The outcomes we are looking for are for participants to be better equipped in developing their own creative enterprises – and to have formed an active network with fellow participants once the scheme has finished.

About the Harkin Summit Belfast 2022

The Harkin Summit brings together key champions and implementers from around the world to increase employment of people with disabilities. This year it will take place in Belfast from 7-8 June.

Harkin Belfast Belfast 2022, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Executive’s Department of Communities, will provide a platform for individuals and organizations to challenge for change, celebrate and share success, and positively reframe the narrative on how we approach, support and enable persons with disabilities to achieve their career goals and aspirations.
